World war 1 was an international conflict began on 28 july 1914 and ended on 11 November 1918. The war was four year long there are over 30 countries took part in this war. The majority countries are on the side of the Allies, including Serbia, Russia, France, Britain, Italy and The United States. They were opposed by Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire, who together form the central power. 

The Beginning

This Great war began from Austria when the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was shot to death along with his wife, Sophie, by the Serbian nationalist Gavrilo princip on June 28, 1914.

The assassination of Franz Ferdinand set off a rapidly escalating chain of events: Austria-Hungary like many countries around the world, blamed the Serbian government for the attack and hoped to use the incident as justification for settling the question of Serbian nationalism once and for all. 

When mighty Russia Supported Serbia. Austria-Hungary waited to declare war untill It's leaders received assurance from German leader Kaiser Wilhelm II that Germany would support their causes. Austria feared that Russian intervention would involve Russia allys, France and possibly Great Britain as well. On july 5 Kaiser Wilhelm II secretly pledge support, giving Austria-Hungary "blank check" as assurance of Germany backing  cause in war.

On july 28 Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and the peace between Europe's great power quickly collapsed. Within a week Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia had lined up against Austria-Hungary and Germany, and World War 1 had begun.

Weapons and battles 

In this war there are various and many kinds of weapons used in this war and great weapons too. There are around 20 plus weapons used in the war. The weapons are like : Tanks, Mortars, edged weapons, Grenades,  Flamethrowers, Sidearms, Machine gun, Submachine gun, Flare gun, Rifles, support guns, shotgun, etc. These weapons are made of strong metals and new technologies at that time and has a far range to shoot and strong bullets were there. 

The First battle of Marne was first battle of World War I fought from 6 to 12 September 1914 it resulted it an Allied Victory against the German armies in the west.

There are around 50 battles were fought in WWI. In every of the countries who took  part in World War I. And lots of damages and devastation occur at this time most of the countries are bankrupt since the battle end and most of the countries leave the war. The total number of Military and  civilian casualties died in WWI was around 40 million. There were 20 million deaths and 21 million wounded in all the world during this war. 

Effects of WWI

World War 1 changed the Economical and physically balanced of the world, leaving European Countries deep in debt and making the U.S. the leading industrial power and creditor in the world. Inflation shot up in most countries and the German economy was highly affected by having to pay for reparations. 

The First World War destroyed empires, created numerous new nation-states, encouraged independence movements in Europe's colonies, forced the United States to become a world power and led directly to Soviet communism and the rise of Hitler.

The effects and devastation of World War l lays down the foundation of World War II which was horrible and then the rise of Nazi party took place.

World War I, spanning from 1914 to 1918, was a transformative global conflict that reshaped the geopolitical landscape. Its aftermath saw the collapse of empires and the seeds of future conflicts sown, setting the stage for the 20th century. The war serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of nationalism and militarism, urging humanity towards peace and cooperation.
